nokia n85

Just as every people have their favorites in any field, from the play ground to the politicians in the country. One has its own choice. Just as we have over own computer OS configurations, we also want to work our mobile phone according to our taste. This personal configuration makes us doing our job more easily and efficiently.

Here is the list of my some favorite Symbian S60v3 apps, which I am using in my N85, I can also be used in any of n-series mobile phones.

Conversation – this brilliant little app integrates with the contacts menu and lists all of your SMS’s by sender. By selecting a contact from within Conversation you can view all messages sent to and received from that contact. Very handy. The only thing that could make this app better would be for it to completely replace the SMS received dialogue and reply screens.

Fring – Is one of many IM applications for the mobile. It allows you to connect to Google Talk, MSN, ICQ, Skype and SIP from a single interface. It is very fast, easy to use and free!

Google Maps for Mobile – Now with native S60 & GPS support this little app brings the power of Google Maps and GPS to the mobile. Improvements? Well it would be great if it rotated the map to suit the direction you are heading. Even better if it had voice directions. Hopefully these will come in future releases.

Shozu – Is GEO Tagging software as discussed in a previous post. With direct integration into Flickr it works well. As I am a Picasa user and at present Picasa cannot read the GEO Tag’s generated by Shozu I am simply using this software as an uploaded to my Picasa account.
